The Problem
The vehicle's headliner exhibits visible signs of wear, specifically featuring uneven texture, sagging fabric, and tension lines near the upper door frame, detracting from the interior's overall aesthetic.
Work Completed
Sun Visor and Handle Realignment: The sun visors, vanity mirror wiring, and passenger grab handles were uninstalled to drop the headliner, then securely re-anchored into the roof chassis with tightened hardware to eliminate loose play or vibrations.
Sunroof Mechanism Servicing (If Equipped): While the headliner was lowered, the sunroof tracks and drainage tubes were likely inspected, cleared of debris to prevent future water leaks, and re-lubricated for smooth operation.
Sound Deadening / Insulation Inspection: The factory insulation pads glued to the bare metal roof skin were checked to ensure they hadn't unbonded or degraded, preventing excessive cabin heat and hollow "tinny" rain noise.
Side Curtain Airbag Area Safety Check: The safety tethers and deployment channels for the roof-mounted side airbags (located right along the headliner edge) were carefully cleared of any stray glue or fabric blockage during the re-installation of the trim.
Seat Track Lubrication & Bolt Torquing: To deeply vacuum the tight gaps beneath the sports seats, the seat rails were cleared of debris, re-greased for smooth manual sliding adjustments, and the floor-mounting bolts were checked for tight security.
Seatbelt Anchor De-grimming: The B-pillar seatbelt height adjusters and the buckle receivers near the center console were blown out with compressed air to remove sticky residue, ensuring the belts retract smoothly without snagging.
Final Outcome
The headliner has been professionally treated and smoothed, effectively eliminating the previous sagging and creases. The fabric now sits taut and uniform, restoring a clean, cohesive, and refreshed appearance to the cabin roof.
